SUP Cross Bow Turn

Today I'm going to show you how to do my favorite turn, the Cross Bow turn. It comes in really handy, especially when you need to turn quickly and efficiently even when you're standing in the center of your board.

To turn right, paddle on your left side. Twist your body to the right, bringing the blade of your paddle across the nose of your standup board. Rotate your core to a comfortable position, then place your paddle blade in the water and use the power face of the blade to pull towards the nose of your board.

Repeat this as many times as necessary to turn yourself around, then bring your paddle back across the left side to perform a big sweep stroke and finish the turn. Practice this turn until it becomes second nature.
