Kayaking with a Lava Waterfall

Watch kayakers Rafa Ortiz and Dane Jackson as they paddle at the base of an active Hawaiian volcano cautiously watching a 70-foot lava waterfall flow into the ocean.

Generally, magma seeps out slowly through cavernous crevices, but this intense flow was the result of several acres of land collapsing and pressurizing the outpouring to newfound heights.
