Bote 10 Functionality and Performance

The dock is constructed from sturdy PVC fabric, similar to most inflatable paddleboards. Its 10-foot size offers ample space for lounging, exercising, or using as a base for water sports. With a weight capacity of 1,500 pounds, it can easily accommodate multiple people, dogs, as well as chairs and a cooler.

During our testing, we found it to be particularly effective as a base station for launching kayaks and stand-up paddleboards, and as a safe play area for pets and kids (with adult supervision).

However, it lacks an integrated ladder, which can make it difficult for swimmers, especially children or older adults, to climb back onto the platform—a feature that some competitors include.

Setup and Portability

The BOTE 10 is easy to set up with the included high-pressure pump, inflating in about 20 minutes. It also deflates quickly and rolls up into a relatively compact carrying bag, making it easy to transport and store. This portability is a significant advantage for those who frequently change locations or have limited storage space.

Accessories

BOTE offers a range of accessories that can enhance the functionality of the BOTE 10 dock. One of the most popular is the MAGNEPOD, a magnetic drink holder that attaches securely to the dock, keeping your beverages safe from spills.

BOTE also offers Dock Anchors, which are designed to keep the dock stable even in choppier waters. For those who want to turn the dock into a full lounging area, the Aero Chair is a comfortable inflatable chair that fits perfectly on the dock’s surface.

Considering Other BOTE Models

BOTE offers several other floating docks that might be worth considering depending on your specific needs. The BOTE 7 is a smaller version of the BOTE 10, offering a more compact and lighter option. It's ideal for those who prioritize portability or have less space to work with. While it offers the same durable construction, the smaller size may be more convenient for solo outings or for those who need a quick setup in smaller water areas.

Another option is the Hangout Water Hammock available in both 7-foot and 10-foot versions. The Hangout series is designed more for relaxation, offering a more hammock-like experience with a lower profile on the water. If your primary use is lounging and enjoying calm waters, the Hangout Water Hammock might be a better fit, providing comfort and ease of use in a more laid-back design.

Value and Pricing

With an MSRP of $1,399, the BOTE 10 is priced higher than some other floating docks, reflecting its quality materials and construction. The $959 BOTE 7 offers similar functionality in a more portable package, while the Hangout Water Hammock, which starts at $799 focuses on relaxation, making it a great choice for those looking to unwind on the water.

Final Thoughts

The BOTE 10 Inflatable Floating Dock is a solid, versatile option for those looking to enhance their water-based activities. It excels as a base station for canoes and stand-up paddleboards and provides a safe, stable play area for kids. However, the lack of an integrated ladder and its higher price point may lead some users to consider other options. Depending on your specific needs, the smaller BOTE 7 or the more relaxation-focused Hangout Water Hammock might be a better fit. Each of these options offers the same BOTE quality but caters to different uses and preferences.
