I bought one in Feb 2017. Didn't have a chance to try it until June. First time on the water the paddle was broken after 10 strokes. It looked like it had a crack at the left wing (It is possible that it was not even a manufacturing issue, but broken during transportation). I sent the detailed pictures to Tantrum Tow Ropes. They investigated it and in four days I received a replacement. I did already more than 100 miles with the new paddle and it was not really recreational paddling, I did it pretty hard. The paddle is just amazing.
Just received one of the new all carbon fiber straight shaft kayak paddles from Tantrum Tow Ropes. It has a long cupped blade and is adjustable from 215 to 230cm in length. The feather is also adjustable. The first time I used it my mph two thirds the effort. It is extremely light 24 oz. and very cool. Greatly enjoy it and dealing with Tantrum Tow Ropes was a pleasure. Great price as well.
