If you're lookin for a versatile flatwater board, this board works well. I tried one out and was pleased with its stability and ease of paddling. The small keel keeps the board straighter than a flat-bottomed board. For a beginner these are really important! I would use this board for casual paddling and short trips, and the multiple tie-downs means you can store a lot of gear on the deck.

This board is also well priced and a better value than many other beginner boards. As well, you get the BIC durability, which is better than most brands.

I was recently on Lake Michigan and a small lake just inshore and found this to be very stable easily ported from the cottage to the water, and easy to maneuver. The weight is just right for the size. My daughter tried it too and loved it. Gives a great workout

We bought a BIC Sport last year and had it at a family reunion. It is a well built stable board. Out of all the Kayaks and Sup boards we had it became the favorite of everyone. It is an easy board to put more than one person on. It was stable easy to handle in difficult condition and held allot of weight. You would buy a different board for speed. If you are looking for a stable easy to handle SUP this would be a good one especially at its price. I have not tried it in the surf yet. I would like to hear others experience with that.

The board was the best I have used. I rent a lot at the Colorado lakes and the BIC was far and above the best to ride. Aesy to turn, top padding was perfect, and it handles very well in the wind. I have used others that seem to track one way or the other, especially in the wind. It was light and easy to carry back to the shop as well.

Pros
Easy to use as stated above. Construction, stability, light, etc. Just seemed like a very well put together board.

Cons
Nothing I can think of.
Usage
Exercise, touring around the lake, relaxing and floating while enjoying a beverage.

Submitted by: guest-paddler on 4/13/2016
I love my 11' Bic SUP Ace-Tec. I'm a bigger guy at 6'3" and and 280 lbs, and this board is steady and easily balanced. I had ridden a few other boards prior to this one and stability was always an issue. The length/width and displacement on this board make super comfortable. Pros Perfect length width and displacement for a big guy. Easy enough for a novice and tough enough for a pro. Cons It's very large, so storage is a bit of an issue. Usage Primarily used for exercise and touring on flat waters.

This was my first paddleboard and I can't describe how amazing it is. It is very light which makes transporting it on top of my wrangler a breeze. I tried several boards during a demo day and this board blew away all the others in stability. You can not go wrong with this board for flat water and small waves.

Pros
Light weight and very stable

Cons
Would like a color other than green
Usage
Exercise, paddling through the mangroves.

Submitted by: guest-paddler on 3/12/2016
My Bic paddleboard dream is very much alive. I tested Bic cross platinum and loved it. Pros Large enough for my "on the heavy side" frame. Sits high above water. Has plenty of area for my dog to sit or stand. It's of course a cross so its versitile on many different water ways. I also like the width and thickness of board. Cons May be hard for me to carry as I've only short arms. Thats about it. Otherwise its perfect for me. Usage Touring by my local river n for excersice n strength training.

Submitted by: guest-paddler on 12/2/2015

This board is amazing! I bought one late this summer and have used it countless times. It is incredibly stable and tracks very well for the shape of the board. Also the multiple leash plugs are great for other accessories to be mounted onto the board. The full pad is also a great feature and a big reason I bought the board. I love being able to walk up and down the board and have a pad under my feet at all times. Have had two people on the board and it's still was fun!

Pros
Full deck pad, multiple leash plugs, great stability, and great tracking!

Cons
There is nothing I don't like about it honestly. For what kind of board it is its perfect.
Usage
Excersise, fishing, and touring.

The BIC Ace-Tec Cross is wonderful for SUP yoga, both in the pool and out on open water! The board is very stable in the water and easy to paddle. The divided grippy-mat surface allows a firm anchor for the hands and feet in yoga poses. Its classic styling looks great! Pros Divided mat for a firm grip; stable ride; easy to handle Cons Aggressive grippy surface makes knees sore after a while Usage SUP yoga

Everything like the 10' CROSS but larger for more stability. Making it one of the most user friendly boards out there. Can hold weight up to 285lbs. Used for family outing and fishing. Pros Great for all around SUP'ers and families just beginning. Cons Best for only flatwater therefore not as versatile as other BICs Usage exercise, fishing, recreational
