A buddy of mine had bought one of these kayaks less then a year ago and the back end of it is really thin and has a crack in it now. Its only been in the water a couple of times and sun dolphin will not do anything about it. They pretty much told him he was burnt. I will not recommend anyone to buy one of their kayaks again.

Last year I purchased Four Sun Dolphin Fishing Kayaks, one for me and three for my grandchildren who live with me.

All are 10 feet in length. Two are sit on, Journey and two are sit in, Excursions.

The neat thing is that the kids (15-16 & 17) prefer to paddle around the lake in search of fish over playing with their I-pad or X-boxes. We have boated bass over 20 and Northern Pike over 28".

All of the boats are well laid out for fishing with ample rod holders and tie downs for storage of gear and food. The side pads (for the paddles) are nice because they keep the sound of the paddles being set down to a minimum.

When we decide to eat, we will paddle to the middle of the lake and tie the kayaks together, we have heard comments about how strange it looks to see us relaxing and eating in the middle of the lake.

I find this to be the best bonding experience, exercise and relaxation that one can have.

Hi, my name is Sandra and I'm 67 yrs. young. I got my kayak for Christmas 2015. I've never been in one in my life and I loved it from the minute I got in. I put it in our swimming pool first to see how tippy it might be but it was great. Then I went to a small pond and from there to Martinez Lake outside of Yuma,Az. I have had nothing but a blast in this kayak. I love fishing and was so excited when I caught my first catfish out of Mittry Lake in Yuma,Az. I have a couple of friends I go with, which one friend has the same as mine and she caught her fish same day as myself. The Lakes we fish are fed by the Colorado River. My other buddy Helen is the one who gave us so many pointers on what to do and not to do. My Dolphin travels perfectly ,easy for me to get in by myself and out by myself. Easy to load in the back of my truck and unload also. I can't say enough about this kayak . I love it and would recommend to anyone starting out. Thank you for letting me brag about my Yak!

My wife's sister has 2 sun dolphin kayaks for their lake cottage . We spent a long weekend staying at the cottage and tried out the kayaking for the first time . We had a great time . These kayaks are great for smaller lake and got us hooked on kayaking. We think it is a good for a non expensive, starter kayak.

Great kayak. Tracks well. The 30 inch wide makes it very stable. I have used it for fishing, but it does great as an adventure kayak. Around 40lbs light.

This was my 1st kayak bought 4 years ago as a gift. Some think of this brand as cheap but she is a tough kayak. I paddle in rivers with lots of rocks, trees down and places you would not want a high price kayak too go. My Sun Dolphin keeps up with the other kayaks fine my only problem is the molded seat. After a 10 to 13 mile paddle your butt tends too hurt. I would buy other one today but would want a bigger size since I carry a lot of stuff...

Great value! 3 convenient rod-holders, adjustable foot pads. Paddle holder.
Nothing bad to say about this great little boat. Oh wait! - one small thing: Butt gets sore on unpadded seat - add a cushion of some sort. If they had a 9.9 rating, That's what I'd give it. But in whole numbers, it's a solid 10.

This is a very inexpensive Kayak for the money. Very good for a first time Kayak. I've caught over 500 fish in mine it serves every purpose I added a anchor system and I love it. Down the road I want to buy any Old Town Kayak.

This is a great starter fishing Kayak. It's inexpensive has great features like two rod holders in the back and a swivel rod holder in the front adjustable foot pegs very light and easy to transport. It is also very stable you can take it anywhere you don't need a boat ramp and you also don't need a buddy just load it up and your ready to go fishing!
