My daughter has had one for about 15 years now. I still have it and let friends who have never kayaked before use it because it is so easy to paddle, especially for beginners

We've had two Pelican Potomac kayaks for seven years. These are great starter boats and after buying two newer yaks we still love taking out the Pelicans and sharing them with friends that are just starting out. They are very stable, durable, lightweight, easy to transport and affordable. You can't buying this kayak!!!

Very basic boat. We paddle it on a tidal creek and river. Large cockpit entry, but seems a snug fit when in. Stable and maneuverable. A good beginner kayak and the price is very reasonable

I've been using this as a fishing kayak (after some minor rigging). It's very lightweight so it's easily loaded/unloaded from an SUV roof rack. I'm a 5'4" woman so the weight & ability to load and unload it easily was a key feature for me. It tracks well in still or slow moving water. I've used it mainly on local lakes and ponds & for the money it's worked well.

this model was available in 2010 or 2011, same today as pathfinder I love the smooth glide and stability and comfort. spent long days on the lake in this unit, and never felt cramped or stiff. lightweight to lift. wish I could find one today in the light tan or olive color, but Pelican has gone to brighter colors.
