    For the smaller paddler, this…

For the smaller paddler, this narrow low volume sea kayak is an excellent choice. Cockpit fit is crucial in kayaking, and the fore-aft adjustable seat and raised knee bumps provide many options for a paddler under 5’5” and on the light side, under about 140 pounds. With enough stowage room for a trip of several days, it makes for a good tripping boat. However it also excels as a day paddling or play boat. The low back deck eases rolling. The hull tracks nicely even without the skeg. Multiple options for its lay-up, including combining a durable fibreglass hull with a lightweight carbon deck, offer ways to shave weight. For the smaller, shorter paddler, this a boat that must be considered.
