Kaholo 12.6 (kit) Description

With its uncanny speed, the Kaholo 12-6 has found a following among racers. The 12-6 is more compact, better for smaller-statured paddlers, and it fits in several increasingly popular racing classes. There are no other SUP boards in the world that are easier for a first-time boatbuilder, or better-looking. The Kaholos are okoume marine plywood, stitched-and-glued together and sheathed in fiberglass and epoxy, with a grid of bulkheads and stiffeners inside to make the boards stiff and light. Kits include premium nonskid deck pads, cut to shape, breather tubes, and custom laminated skegs. The comprehensive instruction manual suggests ways to customize your board with fabrics and other stylish tweaks.

This was a great plan build. I completed it in about 3 weeks. Great instructions very easy to follow. This board was really fun to build and a pleasure to ride. Pros Fast board- Racers love this thing. Cons I highly recommend that you use the manufacture choice of plywood. Anything else will not work. Usage Catalina paddle/ The Pacific

My Dad built me this board 2 years ago and I love it. It is beautiful and is great for touring very stable and can really go if you want it to. I have entered multiple races including 2k sprints and 17k long distance. Quick turns are a little trickier due to the need of wax at back but could be my skill level also. Good all around board mine weighs 32 lbs. Cubby up front is life saver for shoes and phone. Pros Smooth ride on the lake ,stability with speed, a cubbie to keep stuff dry Cons Wood board requires maintenance. (So beautiful though) Usage I use for flat to light chop on the lake, exercise, training for races

Tracks well and still turns easy Dry hatch is great for your wallet and keys. Cons Cost It is only a kit not a ready to go board. Usage Exercise day trips wildlife watching
