Had this kayak for 17 years.…
Had this kayak for 17 years. I Mostly take it out on ponds and lakes, but have done a few rivers. I bought it because it can be used as a single or tandem (but I mostly do single). It handles ok in the water as a single, but can be tought to handle as a tandem if you are not skilled kayaker. After some modifications, it makes a decent fishing platform.

Our family of 5 has three different kayaks and a canoe. We paddle a variety of conditions ranging from fishing the AuSable in Michigan, float trips down the Hiwassee in Tennessee (mild whitewater), around the shores of Lake Superior in the Upper Peninsula and around Dauphin Island off the coast of Alabama in the gulf. The Dagger is my dependable jack-of-all-trades "go-to". The tandem is perfect for storage & gear capability rather than a 2nd person (although we have used it for 2). The kayak is stable, tracks well and is extremely tough. Lots of good memories have been created around those journeys and many more to come!
