I use the 9-4 Scout for…
I use the 9-4 Scout for surfing small east coast beach break. i'm 5-11 and 190lbs. surfing for 30 years and SUP surfing for 5 years.
Pros
Very stable in chop and a good wave rider. Paddles well in and out of the line
up. Nose rides well do to the low rocker a true fish. all in all a good riding board in small surf 2-6'. turns well and a fun board for doing floaters.
Cons
Weight alittle heavy for its size. The stock center fin is worthless replace it with a 6 inch fin. the deck pad seems cheep.
