First used a Lagoon 1 on the Ardeche gorge in France, they were the main hire boat out there where they are totally abused doing the 27 kilometer descent every day in the summer for about 7 years until they are finally retired. When I got back to England I got myself one.
They are extremely robust, very stable, track very well due to the 3 ridged hull, they have a storage barrel that is angled to act as a comfortable backrest, I quite happily go out in force 6 seas (with the scuppers removed) and have had it swamped by a wave - it drained itself in about 30 seconds. The only downside to this boat is that you have to fit your own hatches, but they are the circular ones that are supposed to be waterproof to 10 foot depth!
Overall, a great boat.
