Trip Overview

Fourteen friends of the Yadkin PeeDee trail gathered at Shoals access near Eastbend, NC for a day trip on the Yadkin. The River was up some due to thunder storms the past week. But the weather this day was great. The water was stained from run off, but all the small drop and rock gardens were just that much more fun. The trip is 6.9 miles long and passes several islands. This is a good area to float fish and bird watch. If you are looking for place to take the family, and small children this is a good trip to look at. Happy Paddling.
