Trip Overview

Enter The Woodlands from Interstate 45 and head west. Lake Woodlands is on the north side of the woodlands parkway.

"The Dragon" is South Shore Park... Not an easy launch site! Continue on pkwy to red light which is Panther Creek dr. Turn right and follow signs to Northshore Park. There are 2 spillways you can launch with short portage. Northshore has boat ramp and is the home base for The Woodlands Rowing club. No gas motors allowed so day/night is all good.

If you paddle directly across from the park and head into cove and follow to the end. The Woodlands Pavilion hill backs up to water with benches,walkways and nice grassy areas to chill. Listen to your favorite concerts in The Woodlands from the water for FREE!! YAK IT UP!!!!

Accommodations:

Northshore Park has restrooms boat ramps and water-level float docks perfect 4 kayaks. Used and owned by Woodland Rowing club.

FREE!!!

Park is dusk to dawn so may have to park on side of road for night yakin'.

Directions:

The Woodlands TX

I-45 :30 north of Houston and :15 south of Conroe.

Exit Woodlands Parkway and head west. Go through 3-4 lights and continue west on over-pass of Grogans Mill Rd. Lake will be on right and intersection past lake turn right follow sings to Northshore Park or launch in one of the 2 spillways.
