Winchester Lake in Connecticut

Trip Overview

Hello Fellow Paddlers, I must say I did get out to enjoy this beautiful day on the water and just loved it.

I paddled Winchester Lake and just enjoyed the beauty of the lake. There wasn't much wildlife to be seen on the lake as far as ducks or geese. There were a few other paddlers but not as many as I have seen in the past and sometimes that is good.

The northern side has some big house or some modern building going up. I just hope they don't cut down the trees that are on the shore line. It seems someone with some money is building this and it just doesn't fit in with the rustic area that this lake has to offer. But that's progress or a man's money...
