Trip Overview

Noblesville to 116th St.

We take this trip 2-3 times a month if not more because we are big time big catfish fisherman. The river now at this time of the year is really low with a lot of still "lake like" water, needless to say a lot of paddling.

It's 10 miles from the ramp in Noblesville to 116th St. If you want to take out sooner, skip the river road park access and take out at 146th St. The river road park access is too much walking to get to your vehicle/gear especially if you are like me with a 7yr old and camping gear, canoe, big cat rods, cooler, and other odd fishing stuff.

You can park directly under either bridge and generally don't see hardly anyone on the river. Really good small mouth and catfish fishing.

Accommodations:

trees all along the river with nice branches for toilet paper.

Fees:

none

Directions:

Out of Indy go north on us 31 to us 32 go east to Noblesville and north on 19 to ramp next to Scwartz's bait shop and canoe rental. Or Google earth.
