Trip Overview

We pushed off at 7:30 a.m. Lake was flat calm and beautiful. Exploring the "Granite Dells" on the opposite shore was like paddling through an eerie moonscape. There are many hidden coves and inlets.

We were there for three hours and that was plenty of time to explore the lake.

This turned out to be our final paddle in our Perception Swiftwater 10.5 boats. We had chance to demo a Pungo 120 at the end of our paddle and decided to upgrade

Accommodations:

There are two boat ramps and ample parking. The lake was not crowded even on Labor Day week-end. It is a no wake lake, so it's always quiet. It is just outside Prescott which makes food and services easy.

Fees:

There is a two dollar day day-use fee.
