Trip Overview
Entertainment trip at night with Charlie Daniels Band starting before dusk and returning after nightfall. Zoo offers many concerts during summertime so it's a combined entertainment/ paddling trip. No access directly at zoo auditorium / shoreline.
Be aware that you'll be paddling with kayakers with special needs who may require assistance or be open to helpful advice (taasc - put in near twin lakes). I enjoy being of assistance to adaptive paddlers who've told me one of their bigger dangers is that of lightning or the threat of it.
Safety Notes
If wind picks up across lake, water becomes immediately choppy & dangerous (especially at night). Low or little visibility late & advise cross directly from Zoo auditorium to western Reservoir shore (to and from).
Gear Notes
Night lighting including glow sticks & mounted lights.
Conditions
Water is typically calm albeit area waters can be crowded with other kayakers, canoeists along with Yachts from nearby club.
