Trip Overview

My wife and I dropped in at Linn Grove park located just south of US HWY 218 on 500 West in South West Adams County Indiana. (around 9:30AM)

We had to portage around a log dam about 90 minutes into the trip.

We saw several Red-Tailed Hawks, a deer (doe) try to cross the river ahead of us, and several geese and duck with their little ones trying to keep up behind them.

We arrived at the bridge at Highway 1 just south or Hwy 124 in Bluffton, IN (around 1:43)

The weather was sunny with clear skies and 72 degrees by the end of the trip.

Overall, a nice quiet paddle through mostly Indiana farmland. If you go, be Ready for a shallow (6"-18"), slow-moving river.

None at Linn Grove (Berne, IN 5 miles east has several restaurants and fast food, and one hotel - Black Bear Inn)

None
