Trip Overview

We had a great time last week paddling the upper Oconomowoc River from Hwy Q in Monches to Loew Lake in the Kettle Moraine Forest Loew Lake Unit. Lots of Wildlife.

This is a great novice or family paddle. We took two canoes and two kayaks. About 1.5 hours up to the lake with only easy portage around a farm bridge. The kids had a lot of fun at the lake.

There is a little picnic spot where we spent a few hours while the kids swam. No houses around the lake. It's like having a bit of Canada right near by.
