Guided group paddle up Tygart's Creek by Carter Caves State Resort Park. 6 mile trip with a stop midway for lunch and a small cave tour. Also got to try "ramps"- tasted like sweet garlic/onion.
Safety Notes
I felt it was entirely safe. The guides expect SOME experience with moving water. There were a few spots where you need to change direction fairly quickly. It was overall a very easy paddle though.
Gear Notes
We wore wetsuits due to expecting 55 degree water and concern about being completely wet. They were unnecessary.
Conditions
122 cfs. Water was low- any lower and trip would have been cancelled. It was moving water but not fast.
