Turkey Pond in New Hampshire

Trip Overview

Even though it was slightly overcast today it was a grand day for paddling. My husband and I had been here a couple of weeks ago but hadn't seen the far end (Little Turkey Pond) of the pond until now.

From the put in it took us a while to get to the 'other end' paddling around a few small islands and some lily pad areas. I'm glad we went this time of the year, as soon, the vegetation will take over a portion of paddling space. The beaver were quite active, the snapping turtle holding a fish underwater (it's dinner I suppose) and moose were all a site to see and made for a very rewarding paddling trip.
