Trip Overview

This is a beautiful body of water right outside Concord, New Hampshire. It encompasses approximately 165 acres. Much of the surrounding land is owned by St Paul's Prep School, and at times, they can be seen either practicing for or holding rowing competitions.

Turkey Pond has an average depth of 3 feet and a max depth of 15. It can be quite weedy in some parts. The pond is divided into Turkey Pond and Little Turkey Pond which are connected by a short canal. Little Turkey Pond has several islands that you can explore.

This is an excellent place to paddle. I take my 8 year old daughter and she loves it too.
