Trip Overview
One of Go Kayaking Tours' favorite paddles, Turkey Creek Sanctuary, is 130 acres of wonder, biodiversity and natural resources. The nearly five mile roundtrip takes you through a diversity of environments from hydric (wet) hammock, mesic (moist) hammock, and sand pine scrub communities. all excellent for viewing a multitude of wildlife. This paddle almost always offers up alligators, manatees and dolphins. You may also see otters and the occasional bobcat. Birding is spectacular with great blue herons, ospreys, pileated woodpeckers, owls, and tons of songbirds.
The paddle is about 5 miles roundtrip - expect to be out for about 3.5 - 4 hours. This paddle is suitable for kids over the age of 8. This tour runs all year, twice daily (Monday-Sunday) at 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM
