Turkey - Stevens Creek in South Carolina

Trip Overview

Parked at Key Bridge on Key Rd in Edgefield County.
Traveled down to Hwy 23 Bridge on Stevens Creek.

Water level according to USGA gauge at Hwy 23 Bridge was 1.8. This level created a few shallows which required dragging my kayak some short distances.
Only encountered one tree which I had to climb over and drag my kayak across.
Mostly good flows. Fished along the way with good results. Caught 25 bluegill and returned.

This would be a great paddle with a water level of 2-3 ft. My trip took 4.5 hours and a little over 8 miles. But I was by myself and taking my time.

Great solitude and quietness with a few small rapids. The challenge was navigating rocks and shallows.
Fun trip.
