Trip Overview
Join OARS for a professionally-guided and outfitted whitewater rafting trip down California’s Wild and Scenic Tuolumne River. Its pristine headwaters originate in Yosemite National Park, then surge through eighteen miles of non-stop, Class IV+ rapids. This incredible whitewater run includes intricate boulder gardens, rushing cascades and churning holes, which all combine for action-packed paddling from put-in to take-out. You can opt for one day of pulse pounding adventure served up with delicious fresh lunch on the banks of the river between sun baked golden California hills, or slow it down and make it a two- or three-day adventure. Multi-day trips offer a chance to see more of the canyon as you enjoy rafting, hiking, fishing, swimming, and catered camping.
In the spring the Tuolumne River canyon is alive with wildflowers and you might experience high-water, an adrenaline rush for even an experienced whitewater rafter. Summer and fall bring warmer water and clear star-filled nights.
