Tulpehocken Creek in Pennsylvania

Trip Overview

Launched at Charming Forge before the bridge, decent drop due to small dam that has been built. Nice 3 1/2 - 4 hour run depending on stops and any issues due to downed tree limbs. Fortunately some of the landowners near the creek are water enthusiasts and do their best to clear any obstructions that come close to their property.

As long as water levels are okay then you should be in for a good run. We pulled out at Blue Marsh right under the Bernville Rd Bridge, nasty hike up to the road but what can you do.

I would highly recommend the trip to anyone in the Berks County area!

P.S. Me and my group are looking to experiment with a longer trip on the creek starting near the Boyers market in Womelsdorf, still some doubts about pass-ability but I guess we will find out!
