Trip Overview

I have done this trip many times with my friends in high school, even in a canoe with two other people. A lot of people start at the Stillen Basen and work there way to Grings Mill, but we have done quiet a few trips depending of your desired length in time you would like to go.

You can start on Canal Rd. behind the Boyers in Womelsdorf, and then there will be plenty of places to get out, kricks mill rd, in Bernville, (approx 1.5hours) Charming forge, (approx 2 hours) and behind christmas village, (approx 3 hours) we have never ventured passed there but as soon as it gets nicer I will give a better report on what is passed that.

Fun for everyone, ideal for kayaks, be careful with tubes, one or two spots a little shallow. Some small rapids, nothing to flip the boat, and the current won't take you and spin you out of control

Accommodations:

none - a few spots to get out and take a break; no porta potties

Fees:

no

Directions:

422W towards Lebanon (from Reading) .2 miles passed 419, make right on Canal Rd, drop in is 2nd bridge on loop.
