Living in Vancouver there are plenty of small lakes to venture out to go kayaking. Buntzen Lake is about a 45 min drive depending where you live in the city. It's a busy spot for paddle boarders, kayaking and canoing. No motorized vessels are allowed on this lake which is a nice break from the usually congested lakes near the city. A boat launch and free parking is nice to see too.
