Trip Overview

Approximately 150 miles of class 1 to 5 for your boating pleasure on the wild and scenic Trinity. Numerous put-ins and take-outs allow you to customize trips to your ability and length requirements. Recommended trips include:

  • Class 1-2: Lewiston to Pigeon Point Campground (37 miles)
  • Class 2-3: Hawkins Bar to Klamath River (39 miles)
  • Class 3-4: Pigeon Point to Cedar Flat (24 miles)
  • Class 4-5: Cedar Flat to Hawkins Bar (10 miles)
  • Shorter trips are easily made on all but the last run.

Numerous Forest Service Campgrounds along Hwy. 299 provide many camping choices. Best boating seasons are spring and summer. Excellent fishing for steelhead and salmon. Bring a gold pan and try your luck. Keep an eye open for BIGFOOT!
