Trip Overview

A nice trip from Sanford Dam to the Tridge in Midland. Recent floods have receded, leaving mud-covered trees on the banks, with the mud line a good 15 feet up! Many trees washed into the river as well. The trip was about 11 miles and took us just under 4 hours. It was an easy float with no hazards. There were very few houses along this stretch of the river. We went through a couple nature preserves as well. We spotted a bald eagle, green heron, sandpipers, and many kingfishers,
