Tickfaw State Park

Trip Overview
Easy paddle from the canoe launch in the park through some nice cypress swamp out into the Tickfaw River. The canoe trail is well marked. The River is narrow here and we saw lots of gar fish rolling, but no luck bass fishing. Passed one boat fishing for bream and catfish and they were catching a few. Next to no wildlife but it may have been because it was just a bit cool that morning, in the 60's. After lunch it warmed up significantly, and still no wildlife other than a couple of cormorants.Trip Details
