Trip Overview
Pretty sure we were the first to go down this season. Water was pretty low in some parts. Fairly smooth and easy paddle. Quite a few downed trees and tricky spots though.
We had to portage twice. Which wasn't easy due to the muckiness of the banks (sometimes knee deep!). I don't think this stretch is highly traveled.
We set off from the damn at Fletchers Floodwaters and continued to the highway overpass. Took a little under 3 hours just strolling. Would be a lot better of the trees were cleared out.
Accommodations:
We stayed at Paradise Lodge Resort on Fletchers Pond. They have modern and rustic camping. Facilities are OKAY. A bit pricey considering how old and run down everything is. If you're used to tent camping and stay in a cabin, you'll survive- but if you're used to hotel camping and stay in a cabin- you won't! However, I understand that it does pretty well as a hunt camp.
Fees:
Not that I am aware of.
