Trip Overview
Locked my paddleboard at Heron Pond. Drove to Groveport Rd. access. Parked car there. Rode bike back to Heron Pond via wide sidewalk on Alum Creek Blvd to Williams Rd. (some traffic but not bad). Locked bike at Heron pond and put in as described on the Heron Pond paddling location on the map. It was about a 2 hour + paddle. Mostly good current, a few open spaces with minimal current, some fun chutes. (for a paddleboarder standing) Take out at Groveport Rd. is really easy. It's on the right. usually a number of other paddlers and general pop doing creek things.Safety Notes
Some submerged logs and sticks. It is a city creek so always the possibility of metal junk or rebar but I didn't see any on my trip.Gear Notes
AnCheer 11' iSup.Conditions
Medium low water. Touched bottom once or twice. Didn't have to walk.Trip Details
