Trip Overview

Stoney Creek is located in Pasadena, MD off the Patapsco River where it meets the Chesapeake Bay. This put in is located towards the head of the creek where it is a little calmer.

If you go to the left of the put in, you can paddle all the way to the head of the creek and into a few coves that span off the creek.

Most days the water is calm unless it's a summer in the weekend where there may be some boat activity. Even then, it's 6 mph so you should have no trouble.

If you go to the right of the put in, you will head towards the Stoney Creek Bridge however it's a little bit of a paddle to get there. There is more boat/jet ski activity towards that area.

There is a restaurant on the left just before the Stoney Creek Bridge - The Stoney Creek Inn (www.stoneycreekinnrestaurant.com/)

If you go up the creek on the left just before the Stoney Creek bridge - Nabbs Creek - you can also stop at the Nabbs Creek Cafe.

This is a nice paddle with a free boat ramp. Towards the head of the creek, you may see some fox and plenty of birds.
