Trip Overview

Niles Dam to Buchanan Dam

We launched at a park just below the Niles Dam, nice scenic part of the river with a few beautiful houses to view. We only saw one fishing boat the entire trip. Saw deer, swans, and Osprey and several herons.

We took out just above the Buchanan Dam.

Directions:

Bond Street is just off US12 there are several areas where you could launch from; we put in just below the dam.

We took out at the canoe portage just after a little fishing dock on Mead Rd.
