Trip Overview

Very interesting shore line, varies from state park camp sites and picnic areas to wooded hillsides. Lots of coves and even an island to explore from the water. Restroom facilities at launch site, and even a boat rental if you want to introduce friends to our sport. There is usually a gentle breeze so even on humid days, it is comfortable to paddle. Accommodations: Both sandy beach and a separate trailer launch site. Lots of parking and clean restrooms at launch site. Boat rental available. Also food during season at the swimming area. Fees: NJ State Park: Free Labor Day to Memorial Day, $5 per car weekdays, $10 per car weekends in season. You can purchase a yearly pass for $50 which is good for all NJ state parks.
