A mid-spring paddle on the South Bay of Kezar Lake, Lovell, ME. Launching from the ramp just north of the narrows we paddled under the bridge and down to the outlet. We paddled down the outlet stream about a half mile and returned (5.6 miles). Cool and cloudy in the 50's with a light breeze that shifted from the south to the north while we were out. The highlight of the trip was the various birds we saw including Bald Eagle, Wilson's snipe, white-rumped sandpipers and loons besides the usual song birds and GBH's
Safety Notes
Water is still pretty cold so appropriate clothing is a must even on a low risk day like today.
