Snake River Expedition

Trip Overview

Please note prices listed are in Canadian Dollars

Located in the heart of the Yukon Territory, the Snake River is one of the famous rivers of the incredible Peel Watershed. It originates in the Mackenzie Mountains along the Yukon/NWT border and flows into the Peel River. Both the Snake and Peel rivers offer some of the most picturesque and pristine hiking and paddling found anywhere in the Yukon. Part of the allure of the Snake River is it's accessibility exclusively by float plane and it's proximity to the Arctic Circle. Paddle under the wonders of the Midnight Sun and use the extra daylight hours to explore and hike the surrounding area. On top of the mountain ridges there are panoramic viewpoints looking over the vast Snake River valley and beyond. Keep an eye out for soaring Peregrine Falcons, Woodland Caribou, Dall Sheep and Grizzly Bears. The Snake River boasts class II-III rapids and is considered a trip of a lifetime for whitewater paddlers.
