A nice class II paddle for experienced canoers. The river is flowing 6400 cfs with a 5 mph current. The water is deep with rocks and tree debris easily avoided. The trip is 9.4 miles, so less than 2 hours on water. The put-in and take-out are not challenging, but beware of possible whirlpools near the eddy line just downstream of the put-in on the Sultan River. Eric@trail.
