Trip Overview

We put-in at Palmetto Bay Marina on Hilton Head Island. It was a beautiful summer day, busy marina traffic, but folks are very courteous here in the South ;-)

We left out for about a 3-4 hr Paddle on Skull Creek. We encountered many esuaries full of Marine Life and Oyster Beds, off of the main Creek. The Tide can be Moderate to paddle if you are going out against the tide, and there is a good bit of large boat travel in the main channel.

You will not be disappointed, it is a moderate paddle, full of marine life and coastal charm.

Accommodations:

The marina is well equipped and there are places to eat

Fees:

No, however you must have a permit if you are harvesting Oysters.
