Trip Overview

A friend and I started out in Northwood in a park just after a dam. We started out around 10 am and went through Plymouth, Rock Falls onto Nora Springs. We reached Nora Springs around 7 pm. A day trip from Plymouth to Nora Springs would be a great trip for anyone. Small rapids and limestone cliffs! We stayed overnight in the park near the dam in Nora Springs and were on our way around 8-9 am. We headed to Greene and got there around 7:30-8 pm. I believe the total miles were around 53. It was very fun and I would recommend it to anyone.

There are a few sections with electrical fence so be careful. Especially from Northwood to Plymouth. After that there was may one time near Rock Falls.

Accommodations:

We camped in Nora Springs write by the river.

Directions:

We parked a vehicle in the parking lot near the large dam in Greene. We then drove to the police station to park our car in Northwood. A short walk to the park (head west from main street) and you will get to a park (I believe it is called Stensrud Park). There is a small damn that you can launch from .
