Second Voyage - Centennial Lake Again - 5/22/2022

Trip Overview

Went early (9am-11:30) to beat the heat and afternoon storms. Met up with 2 friends in their inflatable kayaks, and another Origami Paddler Kayak Mama.

Water temps were nice so didn't need my neoprene booties. And lots of birds (Heron & Geese) and Turtles everywhere. Lake was not crowded and it was a beautiful Sunday morning.

Safety Notes

Very hot day forecast, so went early. By 11am it was already 88F.

Gear Notes

Took 32oz Hydroflask of ice water and drank it all. Also took my dry bag that contained snacks, first aid kit and towel.

Conditions

Calm, breezy, sunny and warm. Was done before afternoon storms hit.

Portage Notes

Centennial Lake Boat Ramp - $5 launch fee
