Overall, highly recommended for any level of paddler, from beginner to advanced. Several kayak rental places available around Lake Union. Watch out for float planes landing and taking off. I recommend stick to the outer perimeter of the lake. That's where all the interesting stuff is anyway :-)

Happy Kayaking!
