Scott's Flat Lake - 4th of July

Trip Overview

My first time out with my new SUP (inflatable High Life), second time out on a paddleboard! Despite it being a holiday, Scott's Flat wasn't as jam-packed as I'd thought; we were able to find a nice, quiet inlet in the campground area (go to gate 2 if it's busy - much less crowded over there!).

The lake looked relatively large initially, but I was able to easily (and accidentally) paddle around the entirety of it.

I'm a n00b so didn't consider this, but watch out for the motorboats! Not too many out there, but enough to flip a beginner like myself off her board once or twice.

Entrance fee is $17 which is a bit steep to make this my regular spot, but super enjoyable and peaceful regardless.
