Saluda River in South Carolina

A self-supported trip created by sonnytimes

Trip Overview

We put in at James Earl Metts landing at 10. Water flow was very low. Temps were 99 but water coming out of Lake Murray was cold. Had the most beautiful fog over the water.

Saw MANY strippers and large mouth. Small rapids along the way. Not bad until just before the Zoo. That was real bad due to low water levels.

Took out at Senate street.
Lots of people floating the river. Good trip. Will do it again when water levels are higher.
