Trip Overview

We entered a mile west of the Lonoma Beach Resort on Hwy. 6 exit to your right (called Catfish Run). You can either go down stream to the Platte River and get out at the Schramm State Fish Hatchery about a 3 hour trip. Or you can paddle up Salt Creek (VERY VERY slow current) for as far as you want and then drift back to where you entered.

A bit muddy when you get in, but the water is warm and fairly clean. Easy to paddle upstream as far as you like so you only have to park 1 car.

Accommodations:

Fairly large parking area at Catfish Run with trash receptacles. Easy walk down to water.

Fees:

None
