Trip Overview

My first time in a kayak!! and did we have a great time.

The Saco River was clean and cool. We started at Saco Pines campground in Center Conway and ended up 12 miles later at the canal bridge in Fryeburg, Maine.

There was one portage at the beaver falls dam; about a two hundred yard walk over a fairly flat surface. Plenty of wild life on the way including deer, heron, geese and the salmon below.

I highly recommend doing this trip if you want an easy day out. We arranged this trip though Saco Bound Rentals in Center Conway, NH.
