Rogue River in Michigan

Trip Overview

Started out at 11 mile and Grange, just West of Rockford. It was a cold 19 degrees when we put in at 8am. Most of the river was an easy float down the river. The first part had a few trees that we needed to navigate through. (not getting out of our boats) We saw around 24 deer that morning and a bunch of ducks.

It was real nice to get out even if it was cold. We thought that the trip was going to take 3-4 hours but we made it in less than 3 hours. We also stopped a few times for a snack and to grab a geocache along the way. We could have made it in 2.5 hours if we kept going without stopping.

We took out right before the Rockford Dam where my brother had parked his car. Loaded up the Kayaks and grabbed some hotdogs at Dam Dogs. Not a bad day at all.
