Trip Overview

2008 Early Season Update (see previous report here):

I stopped by the WSSC's Brighton Dam's Field office to pick up my season pass. The water level is finally adequate. WSSC will only have 3 ramps open this season. (Two that I remember are Scott's Cove, and Supplee Landing).

In addition (sad to say) The Triadelphia Reservior will be closed for the 2008 Season. So expect Rocky Gorge to be more crowded.

Enjoy yourself and Be Safe.

Accommodations:

Porta-Potty

Fees:

$3 per day per person. $30 for Season pass.

Directions:

The Reservoir can be accessed by taking RT 29 North from the Washington D.C. Beltway. Follow out past RT 198, make right on Columbia Road (by Golf Driving Range). Follow road around until the road will dip and you can see the launch ramp on your right. If you miss it, you can park or turnaround a short distance from the ramp.

Contact:

The Brighton Dam Field Office phone is 301 774 9124
